Referring to this excerpt from your story:

‘Why did I have to be born imperfect because two people sinned in a garden when Jehovah first made the world? Why did every one of their descendants have to be born imperfect and live in pain and die of diseases when we didn’t do anything wrong? They didn’t have answers to those questions, but they were certain I was born with sin already inside of me.’

I wonder how many ‘believers’ struggle — intermittently if not continuously — with this very same train of thought? Ironically, I had a debate just two weekends ago with a couple of ‘Witnesses’ about the ‘garden’ thing. I asked why did Jehovah create two beings who He already knew would commit sin, ultimately tying all of mankind in its knot? It was explained to me that Jehovah exercised his omnipotence to not have foreknowledge of what Adam and Eve would do. I found that explanation totally indigestible.
